Video Session Summaries:
o Session One: Starved for Connection (08:13)— Amy challenges us to examine the ways our habits with our phones may be impacting our spiritual diets. By creating space to acknowledge what’s starving us, we can make an intentional trade, giving up what is causing disconnection and anxiety in our lives and turning our hearts to the One who will truly, deeply nourish us.
o Session Two: Starved by Shame (10:36)— We are starving for an identity that sets us free from the need to perform, to perfect, and to prove. When we turn down the noise around us and intentionally practice solitude, we can replace our shame with belovedness.
o Session Three: Starved for Sabbath (08:01)— Rest is a rhythm that God set in place at the beginning of the world because He knows that we need it. By following this rhythm and embracing the sacred practice of setting aside a day to Sabbath, we will enjoy the gift of trusting God to provide for us and experience his peace.
o Session Four: Starved for Justice (09:38)— The Bible calls us to work to make things right in the world and to defend, support, and love the image of God in everyone. By proactively caring for the vulnerable, oppressed, outcast, and marginalized, we will help nourish a world starving for justice, and nourish our own hearts in the process.
o Session Five: Starved for Identity (08:18)— We all struggle to listen first and only to God’s voice in our lives. Because of this, we keep questioning, doubting, and starving for identity in Him. But when we pray, we learn to fight the lies of the enemy and treasure God’s truth in our hearts.
o Session Six: Starved for Peace (12:10)— Anxiety starves us of the deep and lasting peace that is promised to us by God. But there are ways that we can eliminate worry and anchor ourselves to the Giver of peace. We need to start laying down what isn’t feeding us and picking up what will: God’s Word.
